Booking and cancellation policy

Notice period

We ask for at least twenty-four hours' notice so the slot can be offered to someone else. Cancellations inside that window may attract a fee; call or email reception and Ben will sort out the details.

If you miss an appointment without notice

A missed appointment inside the twenty-four hour window holds a slot someone else on the wait list could have used. We ask that it happens rarely; if it becomes a pattern, Ben will talk with you plainly about whether the booked time still suits your week.

Rescheduling

Moving a booking to a different day or time, with the usual twenty-four hours' notice, carries no fee at all. Call reception or use the online form and we will find another slot, usually within the same week.

How the Medicare rebate is processed

Your GP writes a Mental Health Treatment Plan and refers you to a registered psychologist. That plan makes you eligible for a Medicare rebate on a set number of individual sessions each calendar year, currently up to ten. We claim it on the spot at reception with your Medicare card, so you only pay the gap between our fee and the rebate.

Standing appointments

A weekly or fortnightly standing slot is held for you, including through most school holiday weeks, unless you let us know otherwise. The same twenty-four hour notice applies if a particular week doesn't suit.

Provisional psychologist sessions

Sessions with Tessa, our provisional psychologist under supervision, follow the same booking and cancellation terms as sessions with Alison or Daniel; only the fee differs.
