Anxiety and overthinking

CBT-based work for anxiety, worry loops and the running commentary that talks over everything else, from noticing patterns to trying a different response.

From
$230 to $250
Takes
50 min

This is fifty-minute individual work for anxiety that shows up as constant checking, worst-case rehearsal or a running mental commentary that won't let up, the kind that can make an ordinary breakfast feel crowded. The approach is mostly CBT: noticing the actual pattern a worry follows, testing whether it holds up, and practising a different response in the room before trying it outside it. Nothing here promises the thoughts will stop turning up; the aim is that they stop running the whole morning.

What is included

  • A fifty-minute session focused on the specific pattern you're noticing
  • Plain-language CBT tools you can practise between sessions
  • A grounding technique to use in the moment, not just in theory

02How it runs

Step by step, in this order

Every session: 50 min. You always know which part you're on.

  1. 01 First session maps out when and how the overthinking actually shows up
  2. 02 Later sessions test the pattern against what's actually true
  3. 03 A grounding or breathing exercise practised in the room, like the one shown in our ad
  4. 04 A small, specific thing to try before the next session

03Asked often

Before you book

Not here? It might be on the FAQ page, and if not, ring and ask.

Is this the same as general therapy?

It's the same fifty-minute session format, just with a specific CBT focus on anxious and overthinking patterns rather than a broader remit.

Will the thoughts actually stop?

We can't promise that, and we won't. The goal is that the thoughts stop deciding what you do next, not that they disappear entirely.
