05 Therapy focus
Life adjustment and change
Schema-informed work for the disorientation that follows a big change: a move, a loss, a diagnosis or a relationship ending.
Some sessions aren't about a specific symptom so much as a life that's changed shape faster than you have. This work draws on schema-informed therapy, looking at the older patterns that get triggered by a big change and building room for a different response than the automatic one. It suits clients navigating a move, a job loss, a diagnosis, a relationship ending or any change that's left the usual routines not fitting anymore.

02How it runs
Step by step, in this order
Every session: 50 min. You always know which part you're on.
- 01 First session lays out what's actually changed and what hasn't caught up yet
- 02 Later sessions look at the older patterns the change has stirred up
- 03 Practical steps trialled for the parts of daily life that need rebuilding
- 04 A check-in on how the adjustment is settling, without a fixed end date assumed
What counts as a big enough change to bring here?
Whatever's actually disrupted your usual routine and hasn't settled yet. It doesn't need to look dramatic from the outside to be worth a session.
How is this different from general grief counselling?
It covers grief among other changes, but isn't limited to it; the same schema-informed approach applies to a move, a diagnosis or a relationship ending.
