02 Ongoing therapy

Individual therapy session

Standard fifty-minute ongoing sessions, usually weekly or fortnightly, working from the plan agreed in your first appointment.

From
$230 to $250
Takes
50 min

Ongoing sessions run the same length as your initial consultation and pick up directly from where the last one left off. Depending on what's useful for what you're working on, that might mean CBT, ACT or schema-informed approaches, each explained in plain terms before it's used rather than assumed you already know the acronym. Most clients settle into a weekly or fortnightly rhythm after the first few sessions, though there's no set schedule imposed from the outset.

What is included

  • A fifty-minute session with your regular psychologist
  • Notes kept between sessions so you're not re-explaining your history each time
  • A progress check-in built into the plan roughly every six sessions
  • Medicare rebate claimed on the spot each visit, where you're eligible

03Asked often

Before you book

Not here? It might be on the FAQ page, and if not, ring and ask.

How often will I need to come in?

Most clients start weekly or fortnightly and space sessions out as things settle. We'll talk about frequency together rather than lock in a schedule from the first visit.

Do I keep seeing the same psychologist?

Yes. You'll keep seeing whoever you had your initial consultation with unless you specifically ask to change.
